SYNTHARENA RULEBOOK
Compete fairly.
Create boldly.
SynthArena is a competitive space for
AI-generated and AI-assisted music.
These rules protect creators, listeners,
competitions, and the integrity of the Arena.
01
AI Music Eligibility
Tracks submitted to SynthArena must include
a meaningful use of artificial intelligence
in the creative or production process.
-
AI-generated music is eligible.
-
AI-assisted music is eligible when AI
materially contributes to the work.
-
Conventional tracks with no meaningful
AI involvement are not eligible.
-
SynthArena may request clarification about
how AI was used when eligibility is unclear.
02
Submission & Creator Ownership
Tracks may be submitted to SynthArena for
discovery and competition even by listeners
who are not the original creator.
-
Anyone may submit an eligible AI track
from a supported public source.
-
Submitting a track does not mean claiming
authorship or ownership of that track.
-
Creator profiles may only claim tracks
the creator made, controls, or legitimately
represents.
-
False creator claims may be reviewed,
rejected, or removed.
-
Public submission and creator ownership
are treated as separate actions.
03
Fair Play
Battles should be decided by genuine
listener judgment, not manipulation.
-
Creators must not vote for their own
competing track.
-
Coordinated vote manipulation, automated
voting, or artificial vote inflation is
not allowed.
-
Suspicious voting activity may be reviewed
or excluded from competition results.
-
Competition rules apply equally regardless
of creator size, audience, or popularity.
04
Availability & Retirement
A track must remain available through its
supported media source in order to appear
on live SynthArena surfaces.
-
Active tracks may appear across public
SynthArena surfaces, subject to
feature-specific eligibility and
permissions.
-
Tracks that become unavailable may be
automatically removed from live public
surfaces.
-
A track may also be permanently retired
when it no longer meets SynthArena rules
or should no longer participate.
-
Retirement does not require deleting
historical competition records.
05
Competition Integrity
Qualification, battles, advancement, and
season results are part of a competitive
record.
-
Qualification does not guarantee a
championship position.
-
Competition success does not automatically
grant separate rights such as radio
broadcast permission.
-
Results may remain part of SynthArena
history even when a track is later
retired.
-
SynthArena may intervene when technical,
eligibility, or integrity issues could
invalidate a result.
06
The Principle
The song competes.
The listener decides.
The record stays honest.
SynthArena is designed to reward music,
discovery, and fair competition rather than
manipulation of the system.
